Every buySAFE Merchant has passed a rigorous and thorough business inspection and is continually monitored by buySAFE to ensure they are committed to their customers’ satisfaction.
If you provide a tool for online shoppers, the buySAFE Trust API will allow you to integrate buySAFE signaling into your offering to dramatically increase the benefit that you provide to your customers.
Using the buySAFE Trust API you can determine whether a specific company is a buySAFE Merchant and/or whether a specific item is being sold by a buySAFE Merchant. When an API call produces a positive result, you may display a buySAFE signal next to the merchant or item to let shoppers know that they can feel safe and confident buying.
One example of a candidate for Trust API usage would be a comparison shopping engine, which can integrate buySAFE signaling to provide greater purchasing information for shoppers, and greater click-throughs and sales for their merchant advertisers.
how it works
The buySAFE Trust API provides programmatic access to buySAFE’s proprietary data, which evaluates, in real time, the status of an item or merchant and returns the appropriate buySAFE signal and data to your application.
Currently, the buySAFE Trust API supports SOAP protocol. Developers can generate business object interfaces from the WSDL document that specifies the message schema. The application sends and receives the data by calling the object methods. The SOAP Client generates the SOAP request and sends it to buySAFE, which then converts the response back to the response objects.
